Types of lotions

There can be lotions, which contain water, alcohol, alkaline and acid. Each type is suitable for the care of a certain type of skin. Alcohol and alkaline lotions are used for oily skin. Acid or water lotions are used for dry skin. Lotions are used for cleaning (for example, when removing makeup), moisturizing, refreshing, softening or hardening of the skin. There are lotions that are specifically designed for hands, body or hair. Healthy skin has a slightly acid reaction. Therefore, modern lotions for the face usually have pH in the range of 5 -7, and for hands to 9 pH.
Alcohol lotion disinfects, cleans well, and dries wounds and pimples. If you have oily skin, then this is your lotion. After handling alcoholic lotion is sure to wipe the skin soothing tonic or oil light soothing cream. Acid lotions contain citric or lactic acid. It bleaches the skin. They constrict the large pores, but do not purify the skin. These lotions are used after cleansing milk and water with foam. Oily skin will always look fresh due to using this lotion.
Alkaline lotions are used for oily skin. Use cotton swab soaked in an alkaline solution and gently wipe the inflamed skin (for acne, purulent inflammation).
If you have dry skin, you need a lotion that softens and tones skin, strengthens blood vessels and makes it velvety. Dry skin needs special attention. Therefore, alcohol lotions for dry skin are not recommended. Alcohol dries and causes inflammation of the skin. Good means for dry, flabby, sensitive skin and especially in the presence of wrinkles is the so-called tonics, which includes no alcohol, and dry aged natural grape wine. It cleanses, tightens pores, moisturizes and whitens the skin. There are lots of recipes of making lotions at home.
There is another kind of lotions. I’ve heard about it recently! This is a firming day lotion. What is it? How does it work? I decided to consult the cosmetologist.
